Am Tierpark
Featuring the legendary Leæther Strip’s Claus Larsen and illustrious artist/musician John Mirland, Am Tierpark (which translates to "at the zoo" in English) is a brand new synthpop project out of Denmark. Formed in April 2015 while talking music and watching animals in Berlin Tierpark, Am Tierpark’s sound celebrates simplicity—both melodic and lyrical—alongside classic synth tones. Am Tierpark sees a less-aggressive sonic side to Larsen and upholds its stripped-down qualities—you’ll find no overproduction or drenching effects here. With its heavy 80s synthpop influence, the project is sure to appeal to fans of Depeche Mode, the Pet Shop Boys, Erasure, Bronski Beat, and Soft Cell.
Am Tierpark’s debut album Uncaged will ecstaticly be released by Distortion Productions in November 2015. Thereafter, Larsen and Mirland plan to begin playing live shows under the Am Tierpark moniker.
